Living in the wonderful city of Auckland has inspired a theme based around
the well known acronym ‘JAFA’, which is sometimes used by
those South of the Bombays (ie those unfamiliar with the city) to describe
Aucklanders. Not only does JAFA fit in with our theme of Juggling Anarchy
with Fearless Ability, but the acronym provides a wry reminder of our
conference location. JAFA 2005 is intended to both highlight the essence
of modern project management and capture Auckland at its best –
contemporary, stylish, cosmopolitan and blessed with great coffee. Divided
into four key sections, JAFA 2005 will explore leading edge innovations
and case studies in project management through a series of potent keynote
presentations and parallel breakout sessions.
The first, JUGGLING, examines the attitudes, skills, tools
and processes required to manage multiple projects, programmes and sponsors.
Inevitably, chaos and disruptions are commonplace in unmanaged environments
and this is the focus of stream two, ANARCHY. This stream deals with the
different methods of managing the freedom fighters, mavericks, innovators,
leaders and saboteurs who exist in projects. The experience, courage and
creativity required to manage projects effectively constitutes stream
three, FEARLESS. New directions and innovations in project management,
as well as glimpses into lessons learned, will be explored in depth. Stream
four, ABILITY, focuses on the fundamentals of project management.
It caters to those seeking to develop both the principles of project management
and the methodologies with which to apply them effectively. Put together,
these streams form a catch phrase ideal for modern project management
and also the backbone of JAFA 2005’s content – Juggling Anarchy
with Fearless Ability. JAFA 2005 will inspire delegates with a range of
leading-edge local and international speakers. You’ll learn from
some of the world’s best project managers how to maintain control
of complicated, unruly and difficult projects, and how to reach successful
outcomes in any and all circumstances. Come and join us for two days of
fun, interaction and discovery, whilst exploring key developments in project
management worldwide – and earn Professional Development Units!
Don’t miss JAFA 2005. . .
We look forward to seeing you there.
