Geoff King was a key member of the SWAT team that moved a service call centre after the September 2010 earthquake and a data centre after the February 2011 earthquake. These urgent moves were done in very tight windows, 24 hours in the case of the data centre. Geoff relates some of the challenges faced in such circumstances and the need for up to date disaster recovery plans. Forward planning can make a huge difference when disasters arrive.
