Taranaki had it’s second monthly meeting in August after the successful launch in July. Guest speaker Len Houwers from Arete Consulting in New Plymouth presented the meeting with the challenges faced when identifying project management risks (opportunities and threats) what is in and out of scope, influencing the client’s expectations, establishing expectations around reporting, identifying risks and constraints, ensuring clarity in the projects outcomes, understanding the stakeholders agendas and last, but by no means least, knowing when the project is finished. Our second speaker Peter Mischefski shared with us some insights living through an extraordinarily diverse and tough life and how important it is to “Live in The Moment”.


Our September meeting which is to be held on the 5th of September will have guest speaker Suzanne Porter from TAFT presenting to the group about the challenges of planning and executing the successful WOMAD Festival which is help annually in New Plymouth.
